Remote I/O Platform
The NXP Remote I/O Platform (RIOP) streamlines industrial automation with integrated networking and secure edge processing. It enables rapid prototyping and reduces time to market.
NXP's Remote I/O Platform (RIOP) speeds up the development of industrial automation systems. It combines high-accuracy data acquisition, secure edge processing, and industrial networking into a modular, production-ready design.
Built on the i.MX RT1180 crossover MCU and NAFE analog front-end, the platform connects remote I/O, sensors, and machines over major networks like EtherCAT®, EtherNet/IP™, and PROFINET®-RT. Because the hardware, software, and protocol stacks are already validated, developers can slash integration time and bring Industry 4.0 applications to market much faster.
